Abner & Vanessa

quote-down

Abner and Vanessa grew up in the coffee farming. He worked as a sharecropper for many years, and she comes from a family of coffee growers. With much effort and working in the city, they built a house that they put up for sale and acquired the beautiful 2.6-hectare property at Baixadão da Serra petite estate.

Interestingly, they later discovered that this property belonged to Vanessa's grandfather, who, unlike them, sold the estate to move to the city. And the first coffee plants they uprooted for renewal had been planted by Vanessa's father. Their commitment to building a spacious house in the heart of the property, aiming to accommodate all their children and grandchildren, is truly captivating. It is especially noteworthy to observe that, even after the move, the final details are being carefully added over time.

The proximity of the house to the plantation allows for close monitoring of the plants and the implementation of sustainable management practices, highlighting their deep appreciation for the soil and the unique connection they have with it. These cares are noticed in every step taken on the property or during leisure moments, like a simple fishing trip on the farm.

At Baixadão da Serra, coffee is not just a culture; it is a tradition rooted in the family's history. It represents a commitment to the past, love for the land, and environmental preservation. Coffee brings them together on a journey of shared life and values.
