Edir & Marluce
Edir's journey started in coffee fields, where he worked tirelessly for other landowners as a sharecropper. The year 1994 marked an unforgettable milestone when they finally acquired the privilege of owning 2.6 hectares of Portella Petite Estate. This moment was much more than a simple land transaction; it was the beginning of a story of dedication and devotion to the land and family.
At the heart of this farm, they discovered more than just a source of income; they found a deep connection with the land and an endless source of hope for the whole family. Since then, every day has been dedicated to the art of coffee farming, a passion that has grown indescribably and genuinely throughout the family. At a certain point, they dared to expand their horizons by leasing more land. However, along this path, they faced relentless surprises from nature, realizing how volatile coffee farming can be. It was during these challenges and difficulties that they rediscovered their strength and determination, finding in specialty coffee not only a source of livelihood but a new reason to believe.
Today, it's an honor for them to know that their specialty coffees are eagerly awaited by many, who know the story that blends with the quality of the coffees produced near the centennial fig tree.
It's correct to say that with the inseparable company of his wife Marluce and the unconditional support of his children and grandchildren, Edir faces every challenge with courage and faith. In them, he sees reflected the same values he tries to convey: dedication to hard work, respect for the land, and faith in the future.
